The Client
International Industrial Gas Company
The Issues
- The company’s primary focus was on the on-site business it conducted - supplying industrial gases to large-scale consumers from plants located directly at the user's site
- This client also serviced the healthcare industry supplying medical and pharmaceutical gases
The Requirements
- The company needed a complex and comprehensive billing support system. As this multinational organization continued to acquire and integrate operations across the United States and the Caribbean, the strain on internal resources became overwhelming
The Solution
- SOURCECORP proposed a plan to integrate more than 20 different legacy-billing applications (i.e. invoices, notes receivable, debit memos, lease renewals, facility fees, internal reports etc.) into a common platform for processing, printing and mailing.
- The volume of documents and reports totaled several thousand pages per day with month-end peaks in the tens of thousands.
The Results
- Access to customized software systems for easier selective data record selections, data merging and data record suppression
- Customer could now enhance its monetary controls utilizing batch balancing, creating audit trails for clients and product lines and automating reprint systems. This solution removed the manual reprocess for reprint requests in the event a customer did not receive or retain their invoice.
- SOURCECORP offered enhanced data archiving with microfiche, CD-ROM, and Web/Internet access. Besides these enhanced archive systems, SOURCECORP could now provide multiple delivery technologies including print, mail, email and e-fax distribution. The customer can now set a flag in the data file designating which delivery option(s) have been requested.
